Suitable skin care practice helps models put their best foot forward in the industry & showcase their calibre without any inhibitions holding back. Herein I'll share some such skincare rituals to follow as a model to be well prepared for shoots & potential opportunities.   • Avoid touching your face too often
Why? Because face touching can aggravate the presence of skin oil and lead to clogging of pores which can lead to an outbreak of acne. Try to reduce the frequency that any object touches your face and if something does need to touch your face, make sure that it is clean.
  • Do not prick a pimple
Why? Because the pimple is keeping the bacteria contained. When you puncture its outer skin, the gunk oozes out. Now, this can either cause bacteria in that gunk to splatter and land inside other pores or may force the debris and bacteria even deeper into your skin, leading to more red, inflamed, swollen and infected pimples followed by permanent scarring.
  • Avoid drinking & smoking
Why? Because toxins in cigarette smoke damage collagen and elastin while alcohol speeds up collagen loss. These are the fibrous components of your skin that keep it firm and supple. Without them, your skin can become hardened and less elastic, leading to deeper wrinkles and premature ageing.
